Foundation

Currently the Group of Dances and sings of Perre is a cultural association that it preserves and it divulges the traditions, uses and customs of the people of this pretty vianense clientele, in the period of time that encloses the ends of century XIX, principles of century XX, through a group of sixty elements that find in the folklore the current expression of the form of living to pass its free times. It always looked for to sing, to dance and to wear the possible form most faithful the life of the gentes that proud represents.

Having been established the 22 of February of 1985, this colectividade was then appointed of GROUP TEATRAL OF DANCES and TO SING OF PERRE.

In the statutes of the date of foundation the following one can be read: "After representing two shows (12/10/84 and 19/2/85) we verify that we have good conditions to continue, due to the good agreement that exist between the components and to the acceptance that we had on the part of the spectators". More to the front the "Purpose of the Group" is described.

"1) The group intends not to leave to die in the forgot cultural, characteristic património of the clientele.

2) We want to be a responsible group, duly organized where all in let us feel them well, in spirit of communitarian service.

3) We Developed culture, mainly in the young, occupying to them the free times

4) the group is pledged, in offering to the community hours of healthy distration." To the date of its foundation the direction was constituted of the following elements:

Already passed nine years - in 1994 - it is that the association was constituted legally, that presented its writing the 3 of July of this exactly year. The Group was recognized as collective person of public utility, as forwarding published in "Daily of the Rapública" II the series, nº. 281 of 5 December of 2003.

During years the wire the Group had headquarters in the house of its old director - D. Judite Cardoso - where had also elapsed the first assays, which little time after the foundation had started to have place in the parochial hall of the clientele of Perre. Nowadays this association possesss situated proper headquarters in the Place of the Village-Meã, where it develops diverse activities that enclose the population of Perre, as well as of other localities.
